About the Founder

Harbor of Hope Community was founded by a military veteran with lived experience navigating housing instability during the transition from military service to civilian life. While raising a family, she encountered systemic barriers to safe and stable housing, including extended wait times and limited coordination of supportive resources while awaiting a HUD-VASH voucher.

After securing permanent housing through collaboration with community partners, she committed to addressing the gaps she experienced firsthand. Her lived experience informs a solutions-driven approach focused on housing stability, accountability, and long-term self-sufficiency.

Today, she is a multiple property owner and housing provider dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, affordable housing for veterans and individuals in transition. Harbor of Hope Community operates on the principle that stable housing is foundational to economic mobility, improved health outcomes, and successful community reintegration.
